Who We Are...
At The Phoenix Academy, our mission is to provide a personalized educational
experience that meets each student’s unique learning needs, fosters independent
thinking, and promotes strong character development. Our goal is to empower
students to make meaningful and positive contributions to their communities. Beyond
addressing academic and emotional needs, we offer a variety of opportunities to help
students build essential life skills for future success in employment and beyond.
Phoenix Academy was established in 1993 to offer a premier educational
opportunity for at-risk youth. Originally known as the Clark Bourbon Day Treatment
Facility, the program is now proudly operated by the Clark County Public School System
in partnership with the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Kentucky Educational
Collaborative for State Agency Children. Together, we strive to create a supportive and
transformative environment for our students.
